My Favorite Smoothie For Healthy Skin

One of my favorite things to eat/drink are smoothies, especially during summertime! It’s the perfect way to get tons of nutrition and enjoy a delicious treat that tastes like a milkshake.

There are countless concoctions you can create, but here is a go-to favorite of mine:

1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop whey (or plant based) protein powder
1 scoop collagen powder
1 generous scoop almond butter
2 teaspoons of chia seeds
1 tablespoons flaxseeds
.5 cup milk – I prefer almond or soy, but oat, hemp, and cow’s milk are fine as well.
*Optional sweetener to taste – I prefer natural options like coconut sugar, honey, maple syrup, monk fruit or stevia.

Blend well and add extra milk if needed. Enjoy by itself, or sprinkle granola, fruit or cacao nibs on top.

      Hi Martha!

      As far as collagen, the one I’ve been taking for the past couple of years is Dr. Axe. It’s a little more expensive but I’d like his formulas.

      Another popular more accessible option is: Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Powder Supplement.

      And I hear Great Lakes is great. Looks like a wonderful option. I may try this one next!
